Full transparency about how this site earns money.

How Market Your Digital makes money

Market Your Digital is an independently run review site. We earn money through affiliate partnerships with the software companies and tools we review. When you click a link on our site and sign up for a product or service, we may receive a commission from the provider at no additional cost to you.

This is the standard affiliate marketing model used by most review and comparison websites. It allows us to keep our content free, our reviews independent, and our lights on.

What this means for you

  • You never pay more. Affiliate commissions come from the company’s marketing budget, not your pocket. The price you pay is always the same whether you use our link or go directly.
  • Our recommendations are honest. Commission rates never influence our rankings. We recommend the tool we’d genuinely choose, even if a competitor pays more.
  • We only review tools we’ve tested. Every product featured on this site has been personally used and evaluated. We don’t publish reviews based on press releases or spec sheets.
  • We include real downsides. No tool is perfect. Our reviews always cover genuine limitations, frustrations, and situations where a product might not be the right fit.

How we choose what to review

We select tools to review based on what our audience is searching for, what’s trending in the small business and freelancer space, and what we personally use in our own work. We do not accept payment to write positive reviews, and companies cannot pay to improve their ranking in our comparison articles.

Occasionally, a company may provide us with a free or extended trial to facilitate a review. When this happens, we disclose it in the article. A free trial does not guarantee a positive review.

Affiliate networks we work with

We participate in affiliate programmes run through networks including Awin, Impact, ShareASale, and CJ Affiliate, as well as individual programmes offered directly by companies like Shopify, Hostinger, Semrush, Jasper AI, Monday.com, and others.

FTC & ASA compliance

In accordance with guidelines set by the UK Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) and the US Federal Trade Commission (FTC), we clearly identify affiliate relationships. Articles containing affiliate links include a disclosure notice.
